If someone had told me a year ago that I would use the internet to exhibit my work in a virtual gallery, I would have told him that he was not addressing the right person. Until recently, I organized my own exhibitions as well as those of other colleagues, in art galleries, museums or other exhibition spaces in Romania or various other countries. Over time, I learned to exhibit paintings on canvases guided by great painters, experts in this subtle art. Now, after several months of pandemic, I have changed the way I understand the presentation of my creation. As far as I am concerned, the virtual exhibition is a new challenge, of integration in a global system where the creator assumes a new role of ensuring the circulation of his art, especially in such moments.

Sometimes I am asked since when I live in the world of colours and then I realize that my entire life has followed a path without detours, with a precise goal and a clear choice of my profession. My first mentors were my parents, both painters and creators of monumental and decorative art. The most fascinating toys of my childhood were the oil colours, the painting canvases or the clay and the potter's wheel and my favourite playground was the family's studio.

At the high school and art institute I attended, I had valuable teachers, special people of culture who guided me through the labyrinth of arts. In my career I had happy moments but also moments of uncertainty. However, regardless of the circumstances, I continued this path, despite my own parents' concern about choosing the profession. They would have liked me to opt for a branch of the arts such as scenography, considered a safer place for a woman, guaranteeing safety for the daily living. This was in the 80's, when we were living in a restrictive regime and being an independent creator looked like too heavy a mantle for my shoulders.

After a life dedicated to this profession, I consider myself a lucky person because I was able to continue my vocation and I hope, in return, to sprinkle a bit of happiness in the eyes and soul of the beholder.

At the opening of my exhibition "Under the Stars", in 2010, the critic of art Oliv Mircea said: …she has enough talent to judge and understand what is going on in the painting of her time, but also enough courage to remain what the profound passion of her soul dictates to her …
